Hardeep has over 30 years’ experience of complex, high value commercial litigation and arbitration, often with an international dimension. He has handled many substantial cross-border corporate and financial cases including Maxwell, BCCI, the Lloyd’s of London litigation, Parmalat, TXU, Kaupthing, Tajik Aluminum, the fallout from the Lloyds Bank / HBOS bailout, BTA Bank and the LIBOR litigation.
Hardeep is a Solicitor-Advocate and has appeared on behalf of clients in the High Court and Court of Appeal and in arbitrations and mediations. Hardeep is recognised as a leading individual for commercial litigation in Chambers and Legal 500. He is a member of the Court of Appeal (Civil Division) Users’ Committee. Hardeep was recently confirmed as a member of the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for Commercial Litigation: Mid-Market.
Lisa has particular expertise in bribery and corruption, money laundering, fraud, tax evasion and market abuse matters and has acted for clients in some of the most high-profile cases brought by the SFO, FCA, CPS and other UK and international prosecution authorities. Many of those cases involved complex cross boarder issues such as requests made pursuant to mutual legal assistance treaties, double jeopardy, human rights, and extradition. Lisa has also successfully challenged decisions made by different prosecuting authorities in judicial review proceedings and under the victims right to review scheme.
In addition, Lisa has considerable experience acting for clients in civil fraud and director misfeasance cases, civil tax matters brought by HMRC, as well as personal and company insolvency matters.
