Catherine is an established name in employment law where she covers the full remit of both contentious and non contentious advice.  Catherine read law at Oxford University, qualifying as a barrister  in 1988 before requalifying as a solicitor in 1995. 

Catherine has been a Partner and Head of Employment Team at several top 20 UK law firms including Eversheds and Hammonds (now Squire Saunders) in London, Leeds and Cambridge.  An experienced Employment Tribunal advocate, Catherine has particular expertise in discrimination, whistleblowing and business reorganisations and redundancies as well as executive severances.   

Her focus is on providing high quality employment law advice to both corporate and third sector organisations and high net worth private clients and senior executives.

Catherine is a former Chair of the Mary Ward Legal Centre and is currently a Board Trustee of the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust and Chair of Governors at Westminster C of E Primary School in Bradford.

Education and Biography

Lisa has particular expertise in bribery and corruption, money laundering, fraud, tax evasion and market abuse matters and has acted for clients in some of the most high-profile cases brought by the SFO, FCA, CPS and other UK and international prosecution authorities. Many of those cases involved complex cross boarder issues such as requests made pursuant to mutual legal assistance treaties, double jeopardy, human rights, and extradition. Lisa has also successfully challenged decisions made by different prosecuting authorities in judicial review proceedings and under the victims right to review scheme.

In addition, Lisa has considerable experience acting for clients in civil fraud and director misfeasance cases, civil tax matters brought by HMRC, as well as personal and company insolvency matters.

Lisa is well known and respected in the industry as someone who can provide pragmatic and results oriented advice.
